A popular member of the V8 Supercars Championship has tragically passed away overnight.
Lee Norrish, 34, provider of radios and communications to select teams for many years, passed away in his sleep last night.
The Sydneysider was the owner of the Racing Radios business that went to all V8 Supercars events until he sold it recently to Steve McCall.
Many of Norrish’s family and friends have posted condolences on his Facebook page, including V8 Supercars drivers Fabian Coulthard and Warren Luff.
“R.I.P – So shocked. My thoughts are with you and the family,” Coulthard wrote.
“We will forever miss you, rest in peace my friend,” Luff said.
Norrish is survived by his wife Melanie.
