THE popular V8 Dirt Modifieds will this Saturday night be making their first 2023-24 season appearance at Hessions Auto Parts Grafton Speedway.
Headlining this Saturday night’s second race meeting of the season, a solid line up of 15 V8 Dirt Modifieds from all over NSW and also from Queensland are set to converge at Grafton Speedway for the Spring Shootout event. With a rich history at Grafton Speedway, the V8 Dirt Modifieds are no doubt going to put on plenty of close and exciting racing around the 440-metre track, which has had a brand-new racing surface laid during the off-season break.
The front-running contenders in the V8 Dirt Modifieds are going to be the likes of local chargers Andrew Firth and Joshua Rose, along with out-of-town challengers in Queenslanders and former Australian Champions Kevin Britten and David Clark, along with Chris Corbett, Seiton Connor-Young and Luke Dunn who are all expected to be right up there at the pointy-end of the field.
With the RSA Street Stockers, they will be fighting it out for the latest Northern Rivers Rumble Series round. After winning the season opener back in September, Connor Reeves, from Casino, has his sights fixed on making it back-to-back wins in the hotly contested Holden VS Ford class.
In what is going to be their second outing of the season, the youngsters in the Junior Sedans are raring to go. With the National Title coming to Grafton Speedway in January of next year, the drivers are wanting to get vital track time around the host venue in order to give them an advantage heading into their upcoming National Title.
Completing the class line-up for Saturday night’s action at Grafton Speedway is going to be the SSA Production Sedans, SSA Street Stocks and RSA Four Cylinder Sedans.
