Australian Formula Vee competitor Kathy Lisson has avoided serious injury following a spectacular roll at Perth’s Barbagallo Raceway.
Lisson was pitched into the air after touching the rear wheels of the car in front as the field slowed during a race at the Western Australian venue.
As a result, the car flipped twice before coming to rest on the circuit.
Lisson walked away with a sore neck and bruising, but no serious injuries, according to a local news report.
“I do remember thinking, ‘oh I’m up in the air’ and then lots of bangs,” Lisson told 9NEWS. “It happens very quickly.”
