The wives and girlfriends of V8 Supercars drivers tested their skills at the V8 Supercars Official Driving Experience Challenge at the Norwell Performance Driving Centre today.
The WAGS and WIMS Challenge was hosted by Carys Courtney, wife of The Holden Racing Team driver James, and Tahan Lew-Fatt, the partner of David Reynolds.
Aimed to highlight community road safety, the challenge formed part of many events that make up the ‘V8 Superfest' ahead of the Castrol Edge Gold Coast 600.
Other personalities included Leanne Tander (wife of Garth), model Dani Byrnes (partner of Tim Slade), Hayley Robinson (partner of the HRT owner Ryan Walkinshaw) and Kobe Webb (wife of Jonathon) among others.
Kim Bayliss, the wife of three-time World Superbike champion Troy, and Mel Crump, wife of three-time Speedway World Champion Jason, also took part in the festivities.
The V8 Superfest events, which are free to the public, continue to roll on around the Gold Coast throughout race week, with on-track action set to begin on Friday.
