Will Orders has returned to winning ways as he won Round 5 of the RXAus Australian Rallycross Championship at Marulan.
Orders led all the way in the AWD class SuperFinal, ahead of Justin Dowel and Troy Dowel, to take overall round honours.
The win was a shot in the arm for his championship chances after being hamstrung by a differential mount failure last time out at Winton, having also won two of the three heats.
Earlier, Troy Dowel starred in the AWD Final.
Starting third, the 16-year-old passed father Justin Dowel exiting the joker lap to move into second position.
He briefly led as Orders took his joker, but Orders powered ahead again on the run to Turn 1.
However, Troy Dowel got his car up the inside of Orders at the dirt bowl to make an impressive move and go on to win the Final.
Jamie Sargent won Heat 2, while Steve Glenney's day came to an early end when his Evo broke a differential after that heat.
Mike Conway won out in the 2WD class, leading the SuperFinal except during the joker cycle.
Aaron Windus assumed the lead when Conway did take his joker, and while he did produce some fast laps during that period it was not enough to prevent Conway from regaining top spot when Windus took the long route on the final lap.
Scott Anderson passed Troy Dowel late in the SuperFinal to claim third.
Conway's wins also in the Final and two of the three heats put him in a strong position to take the 2WD title with a round remaining.
Cahal Carey won the Excel class after points leader Ron Bustard was forced to withdraw with mechanical issues early in the weekend.
The last of six rounds takes place at Carnell Raceway in Stanthorpe, Queensland on November 11.
