New Zealand's Office of the Auditor-General has decided not to launch an investigation into the Auckland City Council's handling of the pending return of V8 Supercars to Pukekohe.
As reported on voxy.co.nz the Auckland City Council's process was within the Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development's (ATEED) mandate and delegated financial authority.
The decision which will see V8 Supercars back at the historic Pukekohe circuit from next year with the organisers of the Australian Ford versus Holden series underwriting the event caused a public outcry.
