Drives of a Brock big banger VK replica are on offer as part of a new Aussie Driver Search program.
The Brock Competition will take place at ADS events in Australia and New Zealand, where entrants will drive a replica of Peter Brock’s 1984 Bathurst-winning #05 Commodore.
They will then be taken for hot laps with Peter’s brother Phil in a #25 Phil Brock VH Commodore replica.
The winner at each event will earn a free drive at Bathurst in a V8 Race Car.
All participants will also be invited to a post-event dinner attended by Phil Brock and other ADS judges including John Bowe and Glenn Seton.
“I am rapt to be part of Aussie Driver Search, especially as it is the only way for talented drivers to move up the ladder without needing bucket loads of money,” said Phil Brock.
“The Brock Competition will give the anyone a real insight into what it was like to race at Bathurst in the 1980s and the opportunity to get as close as you can to driving the real thing.
“I am also looking forward to passing on whatever helpful information I can.
“In particular I want new drivers to learn seat-of-the-pants driving and not be so reliant on data. If you don’t learn something from John, Glenn, or myself then you’re not listening.”
The program costs $800 or may be paid in 10 weekly instalments of $100.
