Tony D'Alberto has withdrawn from the L&H 500 Phillip Island after contracting chicken pox.
D'Alberto completed eight laps in practice this morning before he elected to sit out the race.
“I just drove in that session and I didn't feel right,” D'Alberto told Speedcafe.com.
“I'm not fit enough to drive.”
Fujitsu V8 Series driver Taz Douglas will replace D'Alberto in the #3 Wilson Security Racing Falcon FG.
“Taz was our first choice and I know he'll do a good job,” D'Alberto said.
“I'm gutted that I'm not racing. I thought we'd be in for a good weekend, so I hope the boys can make the most of it.”
Douglas will drive alongside Dale Wood, who will now lead the team, but will have a nervous wait of his own as he has never contracted the chicken pox virus …
