The 2012 Speedway World Champion Chris Holder will make a return to speedway racing at the revival of Gosford Speedway on the New South Wales Central Coast on December 27.
Holder has been recuperating after an incident in the British Elite League in June – the subsequent injuries thwarted his World Title defence.
The 26-year-old completed a successful, private test session over the weekend and is working overtime in preparation for his return to the Speedway Grand Prix World Championship – which begins in New Zealand early in 2014.
At the Gosford return meeting, Holder will be competing for a $2,000 solid gold bar and will be up against Danish youngster, Rasmus Jensen.
Gosford – which returns after five years in hiatus – will feature a three event program this summer. The other two events will be Thursday, January 2 for a team match, also featuring Holder and Jensen, and a third and final meeting for the season will be held on Saturday, January 25.
