New Zealand’s Scott Dixon has taken his first Izod IndyCar Series victory of the season at Mid-Ohio’s Honda Indy 200.
Dixon led home team-mate Dario Franchitti in a dominant display from Target Chip Ganassi Racing.
The Scot briefly took the lead from Dixon when the full course yellow appeared during the final pitstop cycle with 30 laps to go.
While Franchitti had stayed out a lap longer and emerged ahead, he was powerless to stop the charging Dixon following the restart.
Ryan Hunter-Reay greeted the flag in third, followed by KV team-mates Takuma Sato and Tony Kanaan.
Alex Tagliani, Marco Andretti, Oriol Servia, Sebastien Bourdais and Vitor Meira rounded out the top 10.

Will Power lost crucial points to title rival Franchitti, with the Australian falling to the back of the pack from third place when the Graham Rahal induced yellow on Lap 56 ruined his plans to stay out one lap longer than the Target entry.
Power eventually finished 14th and now sits 62 points behind Franchitti in the title race.
Team-mate Ryan Briscoe suffered a similar fate to his compatriot, eventually finishing 16th.
