Once again held as part of the NextGen NZ Championship, the CTFROT calendar covers four of the five weekends in January next year.
Commencing from January 8-10 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, the series then moves on to the Taupo Historic Grand Prix the following weekend.
Splitting its season across both the North and South Island, the series then heads to Invercargill’s Teretonga Park circuit, the country’s oldest purpose-built venue.
The series culminates with the 71st running of the New Zealand Grand Prix at Highlands Motorsport Park.
“The Castrol Toyota FR Oceania Trophy represents everything Toyota Gazoo Racing stands for – performance, development of people, development of technology and a platform where everyone involved on and off the track can push their limits and explore their potential,” TGRNZ motorsport manager Nicolas Caillol said.
“We are very proud of that and in NextGen having a partner as equally determined as we are to succeed.

“NextGen has re-energised domestic motorsport over the past few years and we look forward to what should be an outstanding first season working alongside them with our new Gen 2 car.
“2027 is a major year for us from grassroots to global pathways, and this calendar embodies Toyota Gazoo Racing’s mission: to develop ever-better cars, ever-better drivers, and ever-better motorsport.”
Set to enter its 22nd season, the championship continues to hold a global reputation as a key driver development platform.
Held over the New Zealand summer, the timing of the season allows drivers to continue racing during the European off-season.
Nine drivers from the previous season are competing in this year’s FIA Formula 3 championship, including reigning champion Ugo Ugochukwu.
The list of series champions includes Lance Stroll, Lando Norris, Liam Lawson, Matt Payne and Arvid Lindblad.
The 2027 season also sees Kiwi outfit Rodin Motorsport join the championship for the first time, having been drafted in via the team tender process.
