Taz Douglas has been recalled to pilot the #3 Lucas Dumbrell Commodore at this weekend’s Supercars non-championship round at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
The former Supercars full-timer was drafted in at the last minute to fill the vacant seat for the season opening Clipsal 500 early this month.
LDM has been searching for a driver to drive its second entry after Matt Chahda was blocked from taking the drive after CAMS rejected an application for a Superlicence dispensation.
As previously reported, Douglas offered his services for the Albert Park meeting if the team was unable to find a suitable candidate.
The 33-year-old was classified 24th in both 250km heats on the Adelaide streets last time out.

“I’ve told Lucas that I’m available to drive with last minute notice throughout the year,” said Douglas.
“I’m happy to be here representing LDM and definitely wouldn’t say no should he need me to step in at any of the rounds.
“I really enjoyed myself in Adelaide it’s a great feeling to be back competing against some of the best touring car drivers in the world.”
Douglas will jump behind the wheel for a 30 minute practice on Thursday ahead of four 10 minute qualifying sessions.
The category will contest four, 13 lap races throughout the weekend.
