Phil Lamattina has secured a personal sponsorship with Monster Energy for the 2011/12 ANDRA Pro Series Championship.
The 35-year-old will launch the new sponsorship, and his new Monster Energy helmet design, at this weekend’s Castrol EDGE Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway.
Lamattina said he feels honoured to join athletes such as Jamie Whincup and Shane van Gisbergen (V8 Supercars), Andrew Thompson and Chaz Mostert (Fujitsu V8s), David Sera (Aussie Racing Cars/karting) and Shane Tucker (drag racing).
“The crew at Monster has been fantastic working closely with our team all season,” he said.
“I feel honored to be welcomed into their family and to be sharing this journey with their support. The brands correlation between high energy mixed with 8000 horsepower is a perfect fit. Energy drinks play a major part in our sport, Monster helps me to improve my reaction time as heightened senses is paramount on the startling.”
Monster athlete manager Dave Ellis welcomed Lamattina into the family.
