Liam Lawson gets vibrant new look for Las Vegas

Formula 1 teams have begun rolling out their Las Vegas flair ahead of this weekend’s Grand Prix, with Racing Bulls, Williams, and Sauber unveiling striking one-off liveries for the night race.

Racing Bulls have opted for a visually bold approach, revealing a holographic scheme inspired by Cash App’s newly released Holo Card.

The iridescent finish is designed to mimic the aesthetic of Las Vegas nightlife and will extend beyond the VCARB 02 itself, with matching race suits, boots and gloves, as well as a full garage takeover.

“This season has really showcased how important special liveries are to our team and to our fans,” Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer said.

“Each design has become a statement of creativity and expression; from the bold Magenta look in Miami, to our collaborations with Slawn and Shaboozey in Silverstone and Austin.

“We’ve been ferociously creative in the way we bring our partners’ worlds into our own, and we’re grateful for how they’ve embraced that spirit, turning each livery into a full celebration across multiple touch points for everyone to feel connected.”

Williams will arrive on the Strip in an all-black livery created with title partner Atlassian, celebrating the company’s AI-powered teammate Rovo.

The design swaps the team’s usual blue identity for a blackout look highlighted with rainbow accents, intended to reflect the city’s lights under the floodlit circuit. It follows the pair’s 2002-themed throwback that ran in Austin last month.

Williams said the latest collaboration showcased the tech transformation underway at Grove since Atlassian joined as title partner in March.

Rovo, central to the Atlassian System of Work, has been deployed throughout the organisation to speed up processes, improve information flow and uncover marginal gains in car development.

“This striking livery is the latest celebration of our work with partners Atlassian, who are helping to accelerate our tech transformation and bring Williams right back to the cutting edge,” team principal James Vowles said.

“There could not be a more iconic place to unveil this than in Las Vegas, one of the most tech-forward cities in the world.”

Williams’ livery will be showcased across a series of tech-focused activations throughout the week, including a fan zone at the New York New York Hotel and Casino on the Strip and an AI-focused talk with Vowles.

Joining the livery festivities is Sauber, which has marked its final Las Vegas race under its current identity with a bespoke “Final Lap” design.

The team — set to transition fully into Audi ownership ahead of the 2026 regulations — has added a flowing chequered-flag graphic across its two C45s.

The motif serves as a symbolic nod to the final chapter of the Sauber name in Formula 1, subtly woven into the team’s green-and-black palette rather than forming a full overhaul.

The tribute comes as Sauber approaches the end of a season in which it has already run multiple one-off looks, including earlier variations in Miami and Spain.

Team principal Jonathan Wheatley described the design as a “bold visual marker of the team’s determination” and its journey toward a new era.

While the Las Vegas grid will be dominated by showpiece designs, Alpine is also sporting a slightly updated look — albeit one expected to remain for the rest of the season rather than existing as a one-race special.

The Enstone squad has incorporated additional pink in a nod to title sponsor BWT, leaning more heavily into the brand’s colours as it closes out the year.

Ferrari, meanwhile, is contributing to the Las Vegas pageantry with a special-edition apparel collection developed with long-time partners Puma and Ray-Ban.

The range, worn in promotional materials by Hamilton and Leclerc, mirrors the team’s weekend race kit and marks 20 years of collaboration between the brands.

The core line features “Powered by Red” Puma pieces — including matching Puma Mostro sneakers and a bobble beanie — alongside Ray-Ban sunglasses in a bespoke colour scheme.
