Ford Performance Racing drivers Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison have raved about their test drive in Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta gymkhana car at Calder Park yesterday.
Both Winterbottom and Davison tested the Fiesta at the outer-Melbourne circuit, conducting a car swap with Block, allowing the American star to drive Davison’s Trading Post Racing Falcon.

Davison was rapt with the experience in Block’s gymkhana machine.
“With the 4WD and the way the turboo is set, it’s a pretty amazing thing,” Davison told Speedcafe.com.
While Winterbottom was in awe of Block’s race car, his first drive in the car did not go plan. The Orrcon Steel-backed driver broke the car’s gearbox, leaving the team to conduct a quick repair.
“I always hate driving other people’s gear,” Winterbottom said.
“I got in and thrashed it – I thought that was what I was meant to do! I selected the wrong gear and it shattered a bit.
“I was pretty cool, though. Awesome fun.”
