The 23-year-old is without a drive after Garry Rogers Motorsport elected not to continue in the series next year, casting doubt on the futures of both Golding and Richie Stanaway.
Though competing in S5000, and set to remain with GRM next season, Golding has admitted he's in conversations with a number of different parties over a possible 2020 berth.
“We're talking to a few different teams in Supercars at the moment,” Golding told Speedcafe.com.
“Yeah, there's sort of slim left for main game seats, but there's sort of maybe one possibility there, and there's a few options for co-driving.
“We'll work on that in the next sort of few weeks and hopefully I'm in a good spot to get some trophies next year.”
Having dovetailed two outings in S5000 with his Supercars commitments this year, Golding is open to the prospect in competing in the open wheel series regularly next season.
GRM is intrinsically involved in the category, having been engaged as the technical partner and has developed and built the Onroak-Ligier V8 powered open wheelers.
Despite the link, there are no guarantees for Golding.
“Nothing's really locked in at this stage,” he said when asked about competing in S5000 on a regular basis next season.
“Obviously it's a fantastic category and I love driving the car, so I would love to be in there full time.
“You don't get the opportunity to race a V8 open-wheeler too often, to obviously do those last two events, it's just been awesome, and to race it full time, I'd definitely love to do it, for sure.
“You want to be in something racing as much as you can, and along with the shifter kart stuff that I've raced full-time this year, it was good to be doing that.
“So I'll be trying to race as much stuff as I can.”
