Garry Rogers Motorsport’s new look for its Boost Mobile Racing Holden Commodores

Garry Rogers Motorsport has revealed the race liveries its Boost Mobile Racing Holden Commodores will run in the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

The Melbourne squad has adopted an eye catching black, orange and silver livery courtesy of new naming rights sponsor Boost Mobile, who have moved from Walkinshaw Andretti United.

GRM is the last team to showcase its colours having run a special one-off livery for the pre-season test at Phillip Island.

The new colours arrive in addition to a changed driver line-up with Richie Stanaway replacing Garth Tander alongside James Golding.

“The naming rights partnership with Boost Mobile has certainly brought enthusiasm, energy and a real focus on presentation,” said team owner Garry Rogers.

“At GRM we have all embraced this and are delighted in how our Volvo Globetrotter B-Double and our 2019 #33 and #34 Supercars are presented.

“It has been 10 years since we ran a predominantly black car and that certainly brought the team some good fortune, with Michael Caruso winning at Hidden Valley in 2009.”

Boost Mobile founder, Peter Adderton attended the team’s launch while revealing that his drivers completed a pre-season training camp in the US with motocross star Chad Reed and MotoGP rider Jack Miller and Marcel Schrotter.

“We are excited to launch the new livery on the Boost Mobile Racing cars today, the team at GRM and Boost have done a great job and I believe Boost Mobile Racing from transporter to cars to the pit bay we will be one of the best looking teams out there, which truly represent the Boost brand,” said Adderton.

“Looking ahead the season for us is going to be a crawl, walk, run approach; we have a new team, we are working with a new driver combination.

“Richie is coming into a new team and new car so we have to set our expectations to be real expectations, we have for sure taken a different path for the team.”

“I am highly confident in both GRM and our drivers after spending some time with them in the USA training with Chad Reed and MotoGP riders Jack Miller and German Marcel Schrotter, I got to know them both and they are committed to give it there all.

“Now this year will be extremely competitive so we will just have to wait and see I guess… but it’s going to be interesting.”

The Boost Mobile Racing Commodores will be on track for the opening practice session of the Superloop Adelaide 500 on Thursday at 1730 local time/1800 AEDT.
