Kiwi motor racing identity Inky Tulloch has been released from intensive care following a crash at Teretonga on March 20.
The 65-year-old had been transferred from Southland Hospital to the Christchurch Hospital's intensive care unit in an induced coma the day after the accident.
Tulloch's crash occurred while racing a Honda Integra during a Clubman Saloon meeting at the Invercargill venue.
A statement from Tulloch's family says that the former Australian Super Truck champion will soon begin rehabilitation.
“We are pleased to advise that Ian is out of ICU and on track to begin rehabilitation for his injuries in the coming weeks,” read the statement.
“Annette and family thank everyone for their prayers and support.”
