The third episode of the IRWIN Tools Endurance Countdown looks at Brad Jones Racing, focusing on the #8 Team BOC and #14 Jana Living Racing Commodores.
Speedcafe.com's Grant Rowley is joined by Supercheap Auto Racing endurance driver Jack Perkins, alongside V8 Supercars Championship commentator Chris Jewell to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each team leading into the L&H 500 Phillip Island and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
BJR heads to Phillip Island and Bathurst on the back of an emotional season.
At the end of last year, long-time driver Jason Richards was diagnosed with cancer which he continues to fight today. The Kiwi is listed as Jason Bright's partner for the endurance races, but with him unlikely to compete, Andrew Jones is set to drive with Bright in the Team BOC entry.
At one stage of the season, Bright looked set to contend for the title by taking two wins (at Barbagallo and Winton), but a string of incidents and unreliability has cost him.
In the #14 entry, Jason Bargwanna has enjoyed a consistent year, including a podium finish at Barbagallo. He was due to be joined by Jones, but is likely to be paired with youngster Shane Price.
It has been a mixed year for BJR. Traditionally, they are always fast in these two-driver endurance races. Would an endurance win be the best medicine?
