The 2010 Aussie Racing Car Super Series will compete at Lakeside International Raceway this year.
The popular racing category will complete its 2010 series at the famous 2.41km Queensland track, which has been totally dormant to national motor racing categories in the past few years after it closed in 2001 (and re-opened in early 2008).
The Aussie Racing Car’s appearance at Lakeside caps off an incredibly diverse seven-round series calendar.
The category kicks its title off at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, supporting the V8 Supercars Championship Series.
The round will be the Aussies’ one and only time with the V8s for the year, spending the majority of its time with Australian motorcycles.
Darwin and Queensland Raceway will be Rounds 2 and 3, both supporting the Australian Superbike Championship.
The Super Series will join the GT Tourist at Phillip Island for Round 4 in July. The series made its debut at Phillip Island last year, impressing all who saw the show.
A return to Queensland Raceway follows Phillip Island (again with the Australian Superbikes), before hitting Eastern Creek as a special guest of the Muscle Car Masters.
The final round at Lakeside is sure to get the blood of those with a sense of history rushing. The high-speed track should suit the Aussie Racing Cars perfectly and will be an exciting place to crown the new class champion.
