Chaz Mostert is keen to partner up with Nathan Morcom in future Australian Production Car Series events, the 2014 Bathurst 1000 winner confirmed.
Mostert is driving a Ford Focus RS alongside Morcom at the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour at Mount Panorama this weekend, the pair having won the inaugural event last year at the wheel of a BMW 335i.
“The focus is having a good run so far,” Mostert said after the opening day’s running at Mount Panorama.
“It is a brand-new car… Touch wood so far we haven’t had any hiccups!”
This weekend’s Bathurst 6 Hour is the only production car event Mostert is slated to compete in, though he Supercars race winner admitted he is keen to do more.
“If Nathan wants to have me back and do some more I am more than happy to put my hand up,” Mostert admitted.

“Obviously, I have a busy schedule with the main game guys, and Nath has a busy schedule with the Super2 as well.”
The Bathurst 6 Hour is the opening round of the Australian Production Car Series, with the remaining events runs on the Shannons Nationals platform.
The only clash for both Morcom and Mostert would be the Townsville 400 weekend (July 7-9), which will see both in action at the Reid Park Street Circuit while the Australian Production Car Series runs at Sydney Motorsport Park.
That round aside, Morcom is keen to take part in the remaining four rounds, with Mostert alongside him.
“If he’s keen and he’s available then we’d always use him,” Morcom told Speedcafe.com.
“He always likes coming out and driving these things, and with the RS he’s loving it because it’s a Ford!
“(Chaz would) be a good fit, but if he’s too busy with other commitments we might get Jack (Perkins).”
Perkins is this weekend driving the Morcom team’s sister entry, the 2016 race-winning BMW, in the Bathurst 6 Hour with Leigh Burges.
