The 24-year-old has inked a deal to tackle the Super2 Series rounds in Perth next weekend and Sandown in November with Eggleston Motorsport.

Love contested the 2023 Super2 season with BRT before being elevated into the main game with the team.

However, a rough rookie season and a poor start to 2025 resulted in the team parting ways with the West Aussie following the opening round.

Love made cameos in Trans Am last year and is currently competing in Carrera Cup Australia.

Testing with the Eggleston team at Winton on Tuesday, Love has made clear he’s aiming to get back to the Supercars Championship.

“It’s great to have the opportunity to jump back into a Supercar, this time being back in a Super2 car and also making the switch to GM is cool as I grew up a Holden fan,” he said.

“Supercars is where I ultimately want to be, I’ve been there before I know how hard it is, let alone getting there.

“To be a part of Eggleston’s and have the support from Rachael and Ben for the two rounds is a really cool opportunity.

“They’ve helped groom a lot of drivers into Supercars, and successful ones at that, so I can be pretty confident they run a tight ship and a good program.

“Perth and Sandown are two tracks that I love going to, both being quite unique, so we will be putting our best foot forward and aiming for a strong performance.”

Eggleston has expanded to five cars to accomodate Love’s entry.

“We are excited to have Aaron apart of the team for the Perth and Sandown rounds, and help him get back into the Supercar racing scene,” said Rachael Eggleston.

“Being a proud West Australian, it’s a great place for him to get back in the seat, he will have a lot of support.

“We competed against Aaron in 2023 when he ran in Super2, he was super-fast back then and I am sure it’s no different now!

“I think he will come into this round with a lot more experience under his belt and be hungry to get some solid results.

“His Supercar journey is unfinished business, and we hope to be a place where he can not only get some strong results but enjoy his racing and get the support he needs to crack back into the Supercar scene for the future.”

Love joins Bayley Hall, Cody Burcher, Bradi Owen and Elliot Cleary in Eggleston’s five-car line-up for the July 31-August 2 event.
