Silver-Am duo Evennett and Torti led the way in the opening 40-minute session in a strong display for Toyota Supras.

Completing 23 laps, Evennett set the fastest time of 1:10.8760s in the early running.

The returning Dean Campbell and fresh co-driver Cody Burcher slotted in just 0.1s behind the lead pair aboard the repaired #118 Ford Mustang.

While early days, it is a promising sign for the pair, with Campbell having been a front-runner in the Silver-am class last year.

Burcher, meanwhile, is a proven race winner in GT4 Australia, and while never having driven the Mustang up to this point, showed good speed.

Supercars rookie Jobe Stewart and Blake Purdie rounded out the top three and led the Silver Cup in the #48 Audi.

Daniel Frougas and Kiwi young gun Chris White were fourth in the #9 GWR Toyota, the second Supra in the top five.

Darwin will be White’s third and final event behind the wheel, having earned three GT4 Australia round starts for winning the NZ GR86 championship.

McElrea Racing teenager Jay Murray rounded out the top five in the #7 BMW M4.

The #21 Mustang of Jarrod Keyte led the way in the Am Cup in 18th outright, leading every class competitor in sequence to round out the field.

Tracey and Miedecke set the pace in Practice 2 despite a late charge from the McLaren of William Exton/Jack Johnson.

The #35 Miedecke Motorsport Mustang set a 1:10.7071s lap late in the session, before Exton shot to second spot in the final moments, just 0.102s behind the leaders.

Stewart/Purdie rounded out the top three having led a large portion of the session’s second half.

Five Fords appeared in the top 10 at the end of 40 minutes, with the re-shelled #1 Gomersall Motorsport entry of Aaron Seton and Jason Gomersall the next fastest in fourth to be the top Silver-Am entry.

Both Mustangs that missed the previous round at Queensland Raceway due to crash damage rounded out the top five, with Campbell/Burcher next in the order.

Evennett/Torti wound up sixth after topping the earlier session.

The #64 Porsche Cayman of Nathan Callaghan and Chris Lillis led the way in the Am Cup, winding up 17th outright.

Monochrome GT4 Australia returns on Saturday for qualifying at 10:10am ACST ahead of the first one hour race of the weekend.
