Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters is set for a 26-car field for Round 4 at Queensland Raceway including a newly-built Ford Mustang for Cameron Mason.

The 1969 Trans Am Mustang, which is designed to evoke memories of Allan Moffat’s Brut Mustang and has the #33 to match, replaces the 1966 Mustang Fastback which Mason had been racing in the series.

It was constructed by Marty Brandt and Garage1 in Melbourne before being shaken down at Sydney Motorsport Park last week in preparation for its debut by the Novocastrian driver.

In another Mustang remains Steven Johnson, this year’s dominant driver in TCM with all three poles and all eight of the full points-paying races which have been completed to date.

While an XD Falcon is in the works, Johnson will continue to pilot the 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback which he has already won two titles with for the time being.

Camaro driver Adam Bressington is second in the outright and ProMasters standings, from John Bowe in a Torana and another Camaro competitor in Ryal Harris.

Don’t miss out on grandstand tickets for the 2026 Repco Bathurst.
Secure your spot today.

The Touring Car Masters field will hit the track three times this Friday at the Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint with practice, qualifying, and the Dometic Trophy Race, before three more races across Saturday and Sunday.
