DJR Team Penske will carry the colours of Roger Penske’s flagship Truck Rentals business at Queensland Raceway this weekend.
The Fords of Scott Pye and Fabian Coulthard will both run the company’s blue and white colours, which were previously seen at Sydney Olympic Park last season.
Launching in Australia in mid-2014, Penske’s truck rental and leasing arm operates and maintains more than 200,000 vehicles worldwide.
DJRTP heads to its home event at Ipswich still hunting for a first win under its American ownership following a mixed run through the opening seven events of the season.
Coulthard took a front-row start and third place finish at Winton in late May, capping a start to the campaign that had seen the Kiwi and Pye net a combined three podiums and two poles.
Both cars subsequently struggled to be front-runners across Hidden Valley and Townsville, however, ensuring Coulthard and Pye remain buried in 14th and 16th in points respectively.
The team showed strong form at Queensland Raceway during pre-season testing in February, edging Triple Eight’s trio of drivers to the two fastest times of the day.
Practice for the Coates Hire Ipswich Super Sprint begins on Friday.
