It is the 84th time Darren Smith and Garry O’Brien have had the opportunity to hear someone tell their story. From an early age Brad was at a race track and skimped, saved and worked his way from the grassroots to a top level category in Australian motorsport.

Brad Vereker began his racing career like many in karting. Then along with other family members, Supersprints at Winton Motor Raceway in a Mazda RX3 took over.
That was back in 2011, and it wasn’t for another 10 years that he appeared on the racetrack again. The interim period spent building his lifestyle and business.
When he returned to racing, he wanted to challenge himself in equal equipment and that was at the helm of a Hyundai Excel in the every-growing one-make series that was expanding in all states.

In a couple of years he was a regular in the Victorian series, competed in the nationals (with a Masters title) and took in several enduros, teamed up with notable co-drivers and against quality opposition.
Then in 2024 he graduated to the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes Series for several rounds before a full tilt the following year.
Recently he branched out and competed in the Under 2 Litre Improved Production Nationals which he won in a Datsun 1200 Coupe. Going forward he wants to continue in SuperUtes and Excels.
