For the second time this season, the MotoGP field will run an extended third practice session on Saturday morning following a disrupted opening day schedule.
Practice 2 at Spain’s Aragon circuit was cancelled due to a power failure.
Earlier in the day, local hero Dani Pedrosa topped the morning session – with his best time of 1:50.28 putting the Repsol Honda rider a full 0.45s clear of Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo.
Australian Casey Stoner sat atop the times for much of the session before falling to third in the closing minutes, while fellow Honda riders Marco Simoncelli and Andrea Dovizioso rounded out the top five.
