Rising Australian single seater star Jake Parsons will head to Sebring at the end the month to complete a USF2000 and Pro Mazda Series test with Cape Motorsports.
The 19-year-old from Sydney has emerged as one of the standout talents in the AsiaCup one make series held at Malaysia's Sepang Circuit, having recorded seven wins from eight races.
With a healthy lead in the championship, Parsons is already beginning to evaluate his options for next season with eyes fixed on a move to America.
The young Australian, who will test Cape Motorsports' USF2000 and Pro Mazda cars on September 29 at Sebring, is hoping the information gained will help confirm his 2015 plans.
Parsons will head to the test with AsiaCup Series rival Colton Herta, the son of IndyCar driver Bryan Herta.
“I have tested previously with Cape in F1600 about two years ago now,” said Parsons.
“It was one of my first drives in a race car, and I set quick times, so it will be good to see them again.
“I'm in the F2000 for half a day, and then switch over to the Pro Mazda for the second half, get the feel for the two, and give me a good idea of where the categories are at, and what I want to do for next year.
“Racing in America definitely interests me, it would be an exciting place to go and race. There and Europe are probably the two top places.”
Parsons will return to AsiaCup Series action at Sepang on November 7-9.
