Speedcafe.com unveils new-look website

The new Speedcafe.com website

Speedcafe.com has unveiled a new-look website to provide fans greater access to award-winning content and features.

The new website is highlighted by a modern layout for both the homepage and stories, ensuring readers remain the most informed in the industry with the latest news and results at their fingertips.

A range of features have also been added to the website, including browser notifications, allowing fans to subscribe to notifications and breaking news alerts even if they’re not actively on Speedcafe.com.

Improvements have also been made to the site performance for both desktop and mobile.

Project leader Speedcafe.com’s Digital and General Manager, Justin Murray, said today’s launch is one of many as the motorsport season begins to ramp up for 2021.

“We’re proud to launch the new Speedcafe.com website today which has been six months in the making,” said Murray.

“Fans have become accustomed to the Speedcafe.com experience and we wanted to take those core values into the next generation website.

“It was also important for us to modernise Speedcafe.com – in doing that I believe we have achieved a better experience for our audience.

“This announcement is just one of many in our digital transformation project so fans have plenty to look forward to here on Speedcafe.com.”

The new website comes on the back of Speedcafe.com breaking the 50 million pageviews barrier last year.

“Last year’s milestone of 50 million is a proud milestone for the team given everything that happened last year,” said Murray.

“We want to build on that and maintain our position as the leading motorsport website in Australia (Similar Web, December 2020) and the new website certainly is another step forward for us.

Speedcafe.com Editor, Connor O’Brien, said the launch marked the start of an exciting new chapter.

“The new website looks fantastic and absolutely enhances the reading experience for motorsport fans in Australia and around the world,” said O’Brien.

“Full credit to Justin for his tireless work in making this upgrade possible; our team is looking forward to a big year of motorsport news – all of which can be consumed on the new and improved Speedcafe.com website.”

Torquecafe.com, the performance motoring news brand, also features a new look with a greater focus on the link between road and race cars.

Speedcafe.com Classifieds, Jobstop.com and Networkcafe.com.au will also launch new websites in the coming weeks with added features.

All these services will continue to be provided for free for fans and the industry, thanks to the ongoing support of Speedcafe.com’s Platinum Partnership group; Castrol, Kincrome, Supercheap Auto, KTM, Dasher + Fisher, Michelin, R&J Batteries, Pirtek, TyrePlus and Lloyds Auctions.
