Brad Jones Racing and Dick Johnson Racing have secured parts supply packages with category powerhouses Triple Eight Racing Engineering and Ford Performance Racing respectively.
The 2013 season will see the introduction of V8 Supercars’ Car of the Future regulations, instigating a technical shakeup throughout the paddock.
BJR has utilised Walkinshaw Racing chassis since switching from Ford to Holden for the 2008 season, but is producing its own cars for the new year.
“We’ve just bought a few bits and bobs off them to help with the car build and then we’ll sort the rest out themselves,” BJR team co-owner Brad Jones confirmed to Speedcafe.com.
The team’s deal with Triple Eight will include front-suspension components – an area that is expected to be the focus of significant development to suit the new cars, despite rules allowing team to largely carry over their current designs.
Dick Johnson Racing has also agreed to a similar front-end package with Ford Performance Racing. DJR will purchase chassis rails, cross members, front suspension packages, plus elements of the electronics system.

FPR has already given its first COTF Falcon two test days, while DJR is yet to finish the build of its first car, to be constructed by Pace Innovations.
