Genesis reveals striking Le Mans debut livery

The team will field two cars at the endurance epic, both carrying a red-to-orange gradient design inspired by its magma identity and Korean heritage.

Unveiled in Le Castellet, the livery returns to the concept first shown in the Le Mans Manufacturer Village in 2025, now fully realised for competition.

The design fades from magma orange at the front to deep red at the rear, a theme Genesis said reflected the volcanic origins of the Korean peninsula and the energy of South Korean culture.

It also retained Korean alphabet lettering for “Magma” along the car in a reversed gradient.

“For the entire Genesis brand, including of course Genesis Magma Racing, design is one of the foundational pillars,” Genesis chief creative officer Luc Donckerwolke said.

“Fans and supporters have been vocal in their love of the magma orange concept livery that was unveiled last year, and, as always, Genesis takes our supporters’ feedback into consideration by bringing it to reality with a bold evolution.

“More than a race livery, it’s an artful statement — where colour and form convey the unique performance identity of Genesis.”

The #17 and #19 entries will share the same base look, with the #19 featuring white logos and highlights, while the #17 runs orange and black detailing.

The reveal comes amid Genesis Magma Racing’s debut FIA World Endurance Championship season, with points already scored at Spa.

Despite that early progress, the team said the focus at Le Mans remained on reliability and finishing its first 24-hour race.

“The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the biggest weekend of our year,” said team principal Cyril Abiteboul.

“It is the toughest test we face during the FIA WEC season, especially as a team in our first season, but it is also our biggest opportunity to show the identity of Genesis and Genesis Magma Racing to the world through racing.”
