Ford Performance Racing’s Chaz Mostert has once again shown his mastery of wet conditions by topping Practice 2 for the Dunlop Series at Barbagallo.
Mostert’s best time of 1:04.62s came in the first 15 minutes of the session, and remained 1.12s quicker than Greg Murphy Racing’s Dale Wood until the chequered flag.
Luke Youlden, Geoff Emery, Scott Pye, George Miedecke, Tim Blanchard, Rodney Jane, Elliot Barbour and Nick Percat rounded out the top 10, with few able to improve in the second half of the session as conditions worsened.
The wet weather caught out Michael Hector at the 25 minute mark, with the red flags required after the Carrington Equipment Falcon became stuck in the Turn 7 sand.
The Dunlop Series returns to the circuit for qualifying at 0900 local time tomorrow.
