Ducati has officially confirmed that British rider Cal Crutchlow has signed a two-year deal with the team.
Crutchlow will replace former world champion Nicky Hayden for the 2014 season, riding alongside Italian Andrea Dovizioso.
The 27-year-old Crutchlow is currently in his third season of MotoGP with Tech 3 Yamaha following a single year stint with the Japanese manufacturer in World Superbikes.
Just half an hour after Ducati's announcement, Tech 3 confirmed that Crutchlow will be replaced by Spaniard Pol Espargaro.
The younger brother of current MotoGP rider Aleix, Pol Espagaro is currently fighting for the Moto2 title.
