DJR Team Penske will complete its first V8 Supercars season by running a Penske Truck Rental livery at the Coates Hire Sydney 500.

The iconic brand, which has featured on Team Penske’s IndyCars and NASCARs in the past, was introduced to Australia midway through last year.

One of the biggest businesses of its type in the world, the company operates in excess of 200,000 vehicles and employs over 25,000 people.

Currently with outlets in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, the Australian arm will add a new office in Adelaide early next year.

Penske is using the V8 Supercars program to accelerate the company’s growth in the local market.

“DJR Team Penske has enjoyed great support from a number of Penske Automotive Group companies in 2015,” said DJR Team Penske managing director Ryan Story.

“Penske Truck Rental has featured on the car at every event this year, but this round it takes top billing.

“This is an important part of the team’s marketing strategy as we welcome another Penske affiliate company as a primary sponsor.

“The interaction we have with Penske Automotive Group staff and customers coupled with other key team partners has been a feature of our on track activity in 2015.

“We look forward to welcoming the Penske Truck Rental team to the Homebush event.”

DJR Team Penske will continue its rolling sponsorship model across two cars next season, when Fabian Coulthard will join existing driver Scott Pye.
