World of Outlaws Sprintcar champion Donny Schatz delivered a master class at Ausdeck Patios Archerfield Speedway with a superb win in round seven of the East Coast Logistics Sprintcar Track Championship.
Having won the Lucas Oils Dash to secure pole position for the feature, Schatz took on the Kratzmann’s Caravans Challenge and inverted the field, putting himself out of position 13 for the 40-lap event.
However, he only needed 20 laps to scythe his way through the field and take control of the race, securing an additional $3000 for his efforts.
Having beaten Australia’s best a few weeks ago in World Series competition, Luke Oldfield again proved himself the pick of the locals at the moment, finishing in second spot after starting fourth.
Toowoomba’s Peter Lack finished in third spot ahead of Logan Schuchart and Dave Murcott, who was running second until he clipped the restart cone and incurred a penalty.
Andrew Scheuerle was next ahead of early leader Dan Murray and Lachlan McHugh, who was on target for a better result until a late spin muted his momentum.
