Fabian Coulthard has revealed the new Lockwood Racing livery for the 2013 V8 Supercars Championship.
The New Zealander, now a mainstay in the world of V8 Supercars, will return for his second season with the Brad Jones Racing outfit in the #14 Lockwood-backed Commodore VF.
The reveal of the new Lockwood colours has also confirmed that the company will remain a sponsor of the Albury-based team for a further 12 months.
After running in the top 10 for the majority of last year’s championship, team co-owner Kim Jones says that he is looking for Coulthard to take the next step in 2013.
“Everything is looking good for another fantastic season with Fabian and Lockwood,” Jones told Speedcafe.com.
“Given the preparation and testing we’ve done, the feeling we have is that we’ll run in the top 10 all year.
“We had a bit of an engineering shift mid-last year (changing race engineers between the Coulthard and Jason Bright cars) which worked well and the whole package is stepping along. Everyone’s expectations are higher, work ethic is very strong and we’re all very excited to get to Clipsal.”
The new livery of the Lockwood Racing Commodore VF depicts the rebranding of the packaging that the company has undertaken recently.
“The car looks fantastic,” he said.
“The people at Holden have done a brilliant job with it. It’s one of the better looking V8 Supercars in the series.”
BJR is one of the most stable operations heading into the new season with the Coulthard/Lockwood, Bright/BOC and Wall/Wilson Security driver/sponsor line-ups all remaining in place.
The car will be seen on the track for the first time at Sydney Motorsport Park this Saturday as part of the official pre-season test.
