James Moffat is testing the Norton 360 Ford Rising Stars Falcon at Winton today.
Moffat will enter the Falcon BF in this year’s Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series with support from Norton 360, Toshiba and Boylan Traffic Solutions.
Speedcafe.com.au spoke to Moffat yesterday prior to today’s test, and he compared today’s drive to the first day of school.
“I can’t wait to get stuck back into it,” said.
“It’s a bit like first day of school. It’s been a while since I last had a full day in the car, so I’m looking forward to hitting the track and having a good day. The car has had a pretty extensive rebuild over the past few weeks.”
Moffat will have Mark Winterbottom’s regular data engineer Grant Macpherson as his race day engineer for the season. Today is Moffat and Macpherson’s first chance to work together.
“ The most important part of the test will be a good chance for me to work with my engineer Grant (Macpherson).
“I’m looking forward to working with him, and he’s looking forward to working with him. I’m pretty excited by the whole deal.”
