Track action has begun at the Coates Hire Ipswich Super Sprint after fog delayed the start of the event’s opening day.
A blanket of thick fog covered the Queensland Raceway circuit early this morning which has forced a reshuffle in the Friday running order.
The Sports GTs category was due to kick off the weekend with a 20 minute practice at 07:35, but officials halted the session due to poor visibility.
The subsequent CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship practice session was also unable to take place at its scheduled 08:05 start time.
Touring Car Masters eventually kicked off the on track running shortly before 9am followed by Formula 4.
As a result of the fog, the Dunlop Series practice session has been cut to 30 minutes and will now begin at 09:35.
