Popular Tasmanian racer Greg Crick will make his debut in the Touring Car Masters class at Queensland Raceway this weekend.
Crick will be joined by Paul Freestone as two new entrants in the popular V8 Supercars support class.
Crick will pilot Steve Makarios' GTHO Falcon after its regular driver injured his back in an off track incident recently.
Having driven almost everything under the Australian sun, winning events and championships across an array of classes including Sports Sedans, Targa Tasmania and Australian GT, Crick is excited about getting into the Falcon.
“I'm really looking forward to getting in the big GTHO,” Crick said.

“I had a drive of it a couple of years ago when doing some testing with Steve, and really enjoyed that. In fact, I commented at the time that it was the sweetest engine of anything I'd driven in my life!
“It will be good to have another steer and have a look at the series, but I'm not expecting to set the world on fire, just to get in and drive and see if can get amongst it.”
After making his debut in the class at Sandown last year, Freestone has committed to the series by purchasing the ex-Alastair MacLean Camaro. Freestone has conducted an extensive redevelopment of the Chevrolet and is looking forward to his new challenge.
“We've always kept an eager eye on the series and after my time in the HQ last year, that confirmed an interest in taking the involvement further,” Freestone said.
“When the Camaro came up, it was an opportunity we were keen to take on and become a real part of the muscle car show.”
Former Touring Car champion and two-time Bathurst 1000 winner John Bowe currently leads the Touring Car Masters Series. The class will hold three races over the weekend.
