The 2010 V8 Supercar champion James Courtney will be working with a new engineer at the Sydney Motorsport Park 360, formerly known as Eastern Creek, this weekend.
Walkinshaw Racing was forced into a staff reshuffle at the Holden Racing Team with Scott Sinclair taking the weekend off with his wife Luci due to give birth to their second child.
Sinclair engineered Courtney to his against-the-odds victory in the Championship Series for the Jim Beam-backed Dick Johnson squad before both defected to HRT at the start of last season.
The highly experienced Matt Crawford will sub for Sinclair, stepping out of his usual role working with Coates Hire driver Nick Percat in the Dunlop Development Series.
Courtney is currently pushing hard to try to crack into the top 10 in the Championship standings and goes into the weekend 11th on 989 points, just behind Ford driver David Reynolds on 1017.
