Sydney-based driver Jim Pollicina has purchased an ex-Ford Performance Racing Falcon FG from Tony D’Alberto Racing for the 2014 Dunlop Series.
The car was campaigned in the class this year by TDR for rookie driver Nick McBride, who placed 16th in the final standings.
D’Alberto had driven it for the previous two V8 Supercars Championship seasons after switching over from Walkinshaw Racing equipment.
Pollicina has entrusted former TDR mechanic Andrew Maisey with looking after the car, which is currently without an engine package.
An experienced production car and Kumho V8 Touring Car Series driver, Pollicina made his Dunlop Series debut at Sydney Olympic Park in 2012 before completing the full season this year.
Driving the Tasman Motorsport-built Holden Commodore VE that Steve Owen used to win the 2010 Development Series title, Pollicina ended a difficult year 27th in points.
TDR is not returning to the second-tier series as its focusses on raising funds to rejuvenate its V8 Supercars Championship effort.
