Melbourne driver Kim Jane has won Round 3 of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Racing Series – protected by Armor All.
In the unique four race weekend, Jane finished third in both of today’s two races, adding to his fourth and third places in yesterday’s two races.
While it was good news for Jane, Ryan Hansford also took his first V8 Ute win, taking out Race 3, while Ryal Harris won Race 4.
Hansford, driving his Truckline Ford, was stoked with the result.
“When Kim ran wide, I was able to get up the inside,” Hansford said.
“I had good car pace, just watching and concentrating really hard. It’s a relief to win and a big weight off my shoulders. My Manager Rod Dawson really believes in me, so it’s good to have someone like that.”
In the overall results, behind Jane was David Sieders, who maintained his series lead. Hansford was third from Harris, Nathan Pretty, Grant Johnson, Jack Elsegood, Chris Pither, Craig Dontas and Andrew Fisher.
The V8 Utes will head to Townsville for Round 4 of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Racing Series – protected by Armor All.
