There are only nine days left to submit your design for the IRWIN Tools ‘Create something great – design the IRWIN V8’ competition.
This is the first and probably the last time the general public will ever be given the chance to design the IRWIN Racing Ford Falcon … so make sure you enter.
The design that is judged the best by Stone Brothers Racing and IRWIN Tools will see their creation come to life at the Sydney Telstra 500 in early December and then see it on the starting grid of the opening round in the 2012 championship – the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.
The IRWIN Falcon will be driven in 2012 by new team signing Lee Holdsworth.
The winning designer will also receive a VIP trip for two to the 2011 Sydney Telstra 500, including flights, accommodation and corporate hospitality in the IRWIN Tools suite.
“We’ve had some interesting designs come through, but we’re holding out for a design which stands apart from what’s been done in the past, something really racey,” said Laura Turnbull, IRWIN Tools’ marketing director.
“We are happy for people to think outside the box, get the creative juices flowing. We want to see something that looks really cool.
“Sam Dwyer’s design (pictured) is getting close to the mark, let’s see if someone can better this?
“I’m sure his design, and many others, will create some discussion. At the end of the day if you think you can do better, then we want to see it.”
