The Red Bull Holden Racing Team has revealed a livery tweak to its Holden Commodores at the Australian Grand Prix non-championship round.

The change sees the Holden branding on the sides of the car switch from red to white along with the stripes below.

It is hoped the changes, aimed to showcase Holden more prominently, will remain for the rest of the season.

“Clipsal was the first chance we’d had to properly see how the cars looked

on track on television,” Red Bull Holden Racing Team boss Roland Dane told Supercars.

“We could see that the matte red of the Holden wording without a key line, when it had direct sunlight on it you couldn’t see it in a panning shot.

“All the stakeholders agreed that we should see what it looks like with matte white lettering here, which we’re pretty confident will work.

“In an ideal world you’d go off to a circuit and test it all with television cameras before the season, but in reality we didn’t have that option.”

The cars are not the only to feature changed liveries this weekend.

Tekno Autsports is sporting primary sponsorship from property group EDG Capital which replaces Woodstock.

Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport is also displaying Supercars logos on the bonnets and doors of the #3 entry for Taz Douglas.

As previously reported, Brad Jones Racing is running a ‘Supporting Equality’ livery on the #8 Commodore for Nick Percat, while the Mobil 1 HSV Racing Team features primary sponsorship from Boost Mobile on its Commodores.
