DJR Team Penske’s Ford will carry the colours of MAN Truck and Bus at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend.
The latest brand to be cycled onto the car under the team’s rolling sponsorship model, MAN is the third Penske affiliated company to adorn the car following MTU and Western Star.
Acquiring the local distribution rights to MAN, Western Star and Dennis Eagle in mid-2013 restarted Penske’s business interests in Australia, triggering the move into V8 Supercars.
Marcos Ambrose will take to the wheel of the MAN Falcon for co-driver practice on Friday, before Scott Pye tackles primary driver duties for the remainder of the weekend.
“Once again, DJR Team Penske will highlight one of the major Penske brands with primary sponsorship of the No. 17 Ford Falcon at the next round of the V8 Supercars Championship,” said DJR Team Penske Managing Director, Ryan Story.
“MAN Trucks is the brand of choice for the team and the graphics and design of the car will deliver a very impactful look on track.
“The response to our livery changes from the fans and customers has been fantastic this year and I’m sure the MAN livery will create a lot of interest in Sydney. This has become an important part of our team’s marketing strategy.”
