Scott McLaughlin again set the pace in the final practice session ahead of qualifying at the ITM 500 Auckland.
The Volvo driver’s final lap in the 15 minute hit-out of 1:03.3s was enough to edge out David Reynolds by 0.15s.
Reynolds’ early time saw The Bottle-O Ford at the top of the sheet for the majority of the going ahead of Mark Winterbottom, Scott Pye and James Moffat.
Shane van Gisbergen, Rick Kelly, Will Davison, Fabian Coulthard and Nick Percat completed the top 10 in a session that saw the field running varying quality hard tyres.
The day’s first qualifying session take place on hards, while the softs make their debut at the track in the second 10 minute leg.
