More new V8 Supercars liveries have broken cover as the countdown to the 2012 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 continues.
While many teams are implementing ‘retrospective’ car designs for the 50th year of ‘The Great Race’ at Bathurst celebrations this weekend, the #51 Pepsi Max Crew and the #19 Tekno Autosports Commodores have received new, modern schemes that will adorn their cars at Mount Panorama.
The Pepsi Max entry will continue to have major branding for its ‘Kick’ soft drink variant, with the new scheme including the bonnet awash of cola. The car will also have windscreen branding from Linde Forklifts.
The #51 entry will be driven by Greg Murphy and Owen Kelly.
The #19 car, to be driven by Jonathon Webb and Scott McLaughlin, will feature a new ‘black, white and red’ scheme, continuing its association with Sargent Security.
It is the third of a five race sponsorship deal between Tekno and the security company, but the first time that a design has been added to the team’s white Commodores.
The two Commodores joins a grown list of cars that will feature new schemes, including Ford Performance Racing, The Bottle-O Racing, James Moffat’s Norton entry, Russell Ingall’s Supercheap Auto Commodore and Craig Lowndes’ TeamVodafone entry.
Lowndes’ car will be unveiled at Mount Panorama at 1300 AEST, with Ingall’s car set to break cover at 1400 AEST.
