The covers have come off of the latest body shapes to join the Aussie Racing Cars field at Bathurst this weekend.

Category founder Phil Ward and current series owner Tony Quinn will debut the pint-sized Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang bodies at the Mountain.

The new cars join the Toyota Aurion, Holden Commodore VY, Euro GT’s and Nissan Altima shapes already in the 50-strong ARC field.

“The launch of these two new cars will drive the ARC category into a new phase of growth over the next three years,” said Quinn.

“Since taking over the category and manufacturing businesses in April, 2012, we have produced three new cars generating significant growth.

“Now that the new 2014 cars are complete my commitment is to maintain stability and consistency across the next three seasons with no new cars to be introduced until at least 2018.”

The new cars are the 100th and 101st chassis built for the V8 Supercars support category.

The Bathurst event sees Grant Denyer make his debut in the ARC aboard a Euro GT backed by Network 10 and program Family Feud.

Kiwi Daniel Gaunt, who missed out on a ride in this year’s Bathurst 1000, also adds to the mix aboard a Griffith Corporation Holden.

Former series winner Adam Gowans meanwhile returns sporting a revised Valvoline livery on his Toyota.

Peter Carr leads the ARC standings from Darren Chamberlin and Brendon Pingel after four rounds.
