Supercars has confirmed a new two-year naming rights deal for the prestigious Sandown 500 enduro.
Rabble.club, the world’s first digital Health & Wellness Club, will become the title sponsor of the Pirtek Enduro Cup opener from September 14-16.
It will also take up the official health, lifestyle and wellbeing partner role for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
Launched in March, Rabble.club aims to help users learn how to improve their quality of life through a digital platform that tracks and shares health data.
The system records live data during training and racing.
This data then feeds to the athletes, teams, trainers, allied health and medical staff who monitor how drivers are performing whilst competing and training.
It also stores medical data in one system so any injury, allergies, blood type and critical information can be accessed at the touch of a button, anytime and anywhere.
The platform was debuted in the Supercars Championship at the CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown with Richie Stanaway, whose Tickford Racing Falcon is sponsored by the brand.
Supercars medical delegate Dr Carl Le says the athlete management system will provide his team greater insight to athlete safety, training and performance during the season.
“Other than being able to look after the safety of our drivers and teams, for me the really exciting aspect of partnering with Rabble is the platform will enable us to report on athlete data,” Dr Le said.
“We’ll be able to compare driver stats and analyse trends, develop strategies to address common issues and measure results. It’s going to change the way we operate from a health and wellbeing aspect.”
Supercars CEO Sean Seamer believes Rabble.club will prove a good fit for Supercars.
“The physical and mental challenge of racing these extremely powerful, fast, heavy and hot race cars over long periods and in intense conditions put these drivers in the elite athlete class,” said Seamer.
“This system will enhance training regimes and offer real time monitoring during racing, testing and training. It will help with the way they structure their training and to monitor their wellbeing in the car.
“A core component of our Supercars vision is the fan of the future and together with Rabble.club we look forward to further engaging with our fans for the betterment of their own health and wellbeing.”
The Rabble.club Sandown 500 will again host Supercars’ retro round from September 14-16.
