Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport’s Holden will run a pink look in support of the McGrath Foundation during Russell Ingall’s final event as a full-time driver this weekend.

Repair Management has returned to the car’s doors for the Sydney NRMA 500, with the company’s blue colour turned pink for the charity program.

The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia and works to increase breast cancer awareness in the community.

Fellow V8 Supercars sponsor Wilson Security is a regular supporter of the foundation, running a pink livery on the Dick Johnson Racing Fords as recently as the Castrol Edge Gold Coast 600 in October.

“The Sydney 500 is going to be a special weekend for the Repair Management Race Team for many reasons; the foremost being able to support the McGrath Foundation with running the pink Repair Management livery for this race,” said Ingall.

“It’s a fantastic charity that has supported those suffering and built such awareness for breast cancer in this country.

“This is especially significant to both myself and my wife Julia and our families as we both lost our mothers to breast cancer when we were young.

“This sort of support base wasn’t around back in those days so the importance of the McGrath Foundation can only help for what is a terrible time for people with this disease.”

Ingall returns to LDM’s Triple Eight-built chassis this weekend following two rounds in a leased Garry Rogers Holden due to a crash at Bathurst.

Panels from the car will be auctioned on eBay following the event to raise money for the McGrath Foundation.
